Job Description:
Voca Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Float Med Surg for
a travel nursing job in Alexandria, Virginia. Job Description &
Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date:
ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours,
nights - Employment Type: Travel 12hrs 7pm- 7am Will be required to
float to ALL PCU/Tele Units within Inova Alexandria Hospital (IAH).
Floating to other units to care will be within or below scope BLS,
AHA ACLS and NIHSS required 1-2 years experience as long as
proficient with neuro assessments and basic cardiac drips Must have
cardizem, amio, and heparin drip experience Must have EPIC
experience Must have prior travel experience Must be able to
read/interpret strips and pass ECG exam Drips: Required to titrate
drips Floating: Will float between PCU, Overflow, Medical, and
Surgical floors to meet the needs of the hospital- can work a
different unit every shift. Common Diagnosis/Types of Patients:
Stroke r/o, chest pain, arrhythmias, Abd pain, post-surgical,
altered mental status, dehydration, AKI, CHF, GI hemorrhage,
numbness, fever, sepsis, resp failure Shifts & Scheduling: Expect
travelers to be flexible to work where needed. There is opportunity
for over time Weekend requirement: Minimum of 4 weekends shifts in
a 6-week period Scrubs: Navy Epic experience About Voca Healthcare
