PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Bel Air, Maryland, 21014! Job Title: PACU RN
Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Post-Anesthesia Care Unit
(PACU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours
(19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 2 years preferred; will accept
first-time travelers with strong ICU/Critical care experience
License: Active RN state license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
required Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Patient
ratio experience of 2 Charting system experience preferred
Description: PACU RN position for night shifts. The contract length
is 13 weeks. Requires 2 years of experience in acute care setting.
First-time travelers with strong ICU/Critical care experience will
be considered. Responsible for caring for patients in the
post-anesthesia phase. Must support a patient ratio of 2. Floating
to sister facilities may be required as needed. On-call status may
occur due to low census, though scheduled on-call is not required.
Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. All required
holidays must be worked as scheduled. Must possess skills in
arterial line management, central line care/management, and blood
product administration. Experience in managing patients with
diverse diagnoses is essential. Knowledge of pain assessment and
management is required. Proficiency in interpreting lab values and
making clinical decisions is important. Ability to work effectively
within an interdisciplinary team is necessary. Candidates must be
comfortable floating within the hospital without restrictions.
Documentation of compliance-related certifications is necessary.
