Job Title: Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 12 Hours per Shift: 12 (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Experience: 2 years current nursing experience, 1-2 travel assignments License: RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Oncology background, Telemetry experience Description: The role involves providing care in a medical oncology setting. The patient population includes adults with oncology needs, bone marrow transplant, acute care, and telemetry. Nurses on this unit encounter a variety of hematologic and solid tumor malignancies, including CAR-T therapy. Candidates must have a background in chemotherapy, although agency nurses are not required to administer chemotherapy. Experience with telemetry and familiarity with Alaris pumps and EPIC is preferred. Every other weekend duty is mandatory, and holidays may require work as needed by the unit.
