Job Description:
MedStar Health, a leading not-for-profit healthcare organization
in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, is seeking an Occupational
Therapist Float OT to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team.
This position offers a dynamic work environment where the
occupational therapist will serve various units within MedStar's
facilities, providing critical therapy services to a diverse
patient population. The candidate will be responsible for assessing
patient needs, planning and administering therapeutic activities to
help restore, enhance or maintain patient well-being. This role
requires flexibility, travel between facilities, and adaptability
to different clinical settings. Evaluate patients' condition and
develop appropriate therapy treatment plans. Implement therapeutic
activities tailored to individual patient needs. Monitor and record
patient progress in response to therapy. Educate patients and
families on therapy techniques they can continue at home.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient
care plans. Travel to different MedStar locations as needed to
provide therapy services. Ensure compliance with all healthcare
regulations and maintain patient confidentiality. Strong skills in
patient assessment and therapy program design. Ability to handle a
flexible schedule and adapt to varying work environments. Excellent
communication and collaboration abilities. Proficiency in using
therapeutic equipment and technology. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid and current
Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice. NBCOT
certification as an occupational therapist.
