MedStar Health, a leading not-for-profit healthcare organization in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist Float OT to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing personalized and effective occupational therapy services across various MedStar facilities, adapting to different clinical settings to meet the therapy needs of patients of all ages. This position offers the unique opportunity to work in a diverse range of therapeutic environments, enhancing your skills and expertise in occupational therapy. Perform patient evaluations and assessments to establish therapy goals and develop treatment plans. Provide hands-on therapy sessions, adapting techniques to meet the needs of different patient settings. Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Consult with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care across disciplines. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and home exercises. Participate in continuous education to improve skills and knowledge of the latest therapy techniques and practices. Expertise in a variety of occupational therapy techniques Ability to adapt to various clinical environments Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems Capability to manage time effectively and prioritize patient needs Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of employment. NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is preferred.
