Job Description:
MedStar Health, a leading not-for-profit healthcare organization
in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, is seeking a dedicated
Diagnostic Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will be
responsible for performing diagnostic imaging studies essential for
various medical procedures and diagnoses. You will work closely
with healthcare professionals to provide patient-centered care in
diagnostic imaging departments such as radiology, MRI, and CT
scans, emphasizing safety and accuracy. Operate and maintain
imaging equipment properly and safely, following all protocols.
Prepare patients and diagnostic imaging equipment for radiologic
tests and procedures. Monitor patients during diagnostic procedures
and report any unusual occurrences or changes in condition.
Collaborate with radiologists and other medical staff to interpret
imaging results. Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to
confidentiality guidelines. Participate in training and
professional development opportunities. Ensure compliance with
health and safety standards to minimize radiation exposure to
patients and staff. Proficiency with diagnostic imaging technology
including X-ray, MRI, and CT. Strong analytical and problem-solving
skills. Excellent communication skills and empathy. Ability to work
collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team
environment. Life Insurance Certification from the American
Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Valid state licensure
as required.
