Job Description:
MedStar Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled Diagnostic
Technologist to join our healthcare team, servicing the
D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region. This position plays a critical role
in our commitment to provide outstanding patient care through the
use of advanced medical imaging techniques. The Diagnostic
Technologist will be responsible for accurately performing
diagnostic imaging procedures, maintaining equipment, and ensuring
a safe and comfortable environment for patients. This role requires
a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of
radiologic technology and patient care practices. Perform
diagnostic imaging procedures according to physician's orders and
established protocols. Ensure the quality and accuracy of images
and data produced in radiographic examinations. Maintain radiologic
equipment in proper working condition. Adhere to safety guidelines
and maintain secure and clean environment for patients. Collaborate
with radiologists and other healthcare team members to discuss
diagnostic plans and results. Educate patients on radiographic
procedures and answer their concerns to ensure understanding and
comfort. Record and manage patient records and imaging data.
Proficiency in various imaging modalities such as X-ray, MRI, and
CT. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent patient
management and communication abilities. Ability to adhere to health
and safety protocols. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified and registered as a
Radiologic Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists (ARRT). Valid state license to practice radiologic
technology.
