MedStar Health, a leading not-for-profit healthcare organization in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia area, is currently seeking a skilled Diagnostic Technologist to join our dedicated team. This role is crucial in maintaining our commitment to top-tier patient care, as you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations on patients to aid in diagnosis and treatment. As part of our medical services team, you will work alongside highly trained professionals in a supportive and patient-focused environment. If you are keen to contribute to a community-based healthcare setting and possess the skills necessary for expert imaging services, we would love to hear from you. Perform diagnostic imaging examinations such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasound. Ensure patient safety and comfort during all procedures. Adjust and maintain imaging equipment. Precisely follow orders from physicians regarding the areas of the body to be imaged. Prepare and position patients for imaging; explain procedures to help alleviate patient anxiety. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare team members to evaluate images and to determine the necessity of further tests. Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to confidentiality regulations. Proficiency in operating imaging technology Strong analytical and diagnostic skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Life Insurance Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required. Licensed to practice in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region.
