Job Description:
MedStar Health, a leading non-profit healthcare organization in
the DMV area, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our
Cardiovascular Intermediate Care (IMC) unit. This role is pivotal
in providing top-tier nursing care tailored to patients recovering
from cardiovascular surgeries and interventions. The ideal
candidate will bring a compassionate approach and clinical
expertise to our patient-first environment, contributing to our
reputation for advanced treatment and recovery processes. Provide
comprehensive nursing care for cardiovascular patients, following
established protocols and guidelines. Monitor patient health and
progress post-surgery, adjusting care plans as necessary in
consultation with healthcare teams. Administer medications and
treatments accurately and promptly, documenting all patient
interactions and outcomes. Educate patients and their families on
disease management, postoperative care, and lifestyle
modifications. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance
patient outcomes, participating in rounds and contributing to
treatment planning. Strong clinical skills in cardiovascular care
and acute patient management. Proficiency with electronic medical
record systems and healthcare technology. Excellent communication
and interpersonal skills, ensuring effective patient and team
interactions. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the
state of Maryland or a compact state. BLS/ACLS certification from
the American Heart Association.
