Job Description:

MedStar Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for our state-of-the-art Catheterization Laboratory. As an integral member of our healthcare team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with top-tier professionals and provide exceptional care in a patient-first environment. This role includes managing patient care in the cath lab, assisting with complex procedures, and ensuring the best outcomes for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Cath Lab setting. Assist in the implementation of patient management plans, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and provide patient education. Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures, ensuring adherence to protocols and swift intervention in emergencies. Coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Operate and maintain all Cath Lab equipment efficiently, adhering to hygiene and safety guidelines. Proficient in cardiac care nursing Knowledge of catheterization tools and techniques Strong interpersonal and communication skills Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required Certified Cardiac Nurse (CCN) is a plus Certification in Cardiovascular Nursing from the American Board of Cardiovascular Medicine (ABCM) is highly desirable
