Job Description:
MedStar Health, a leading non-profit healthcare organization in
the DC-Maryland-Virginia area, is seeking a dedicated Intermediate
Care (IMC) Registered Nurse to join our team. In this pivotal role,
you will provide crucial patient care in our Intermediate Care
unit, which caters to patients who require a higher level of
monitoring and intensive therapy. This position offers a dynamic
environment where teamwork and patient-focused care are paramount.
With cutting-edge healthcare technology and a compassionate
approach, you will foster a healing and supportive environment for
patients recovering from serious conditions. Monitor patient vital
signs and administer medications as needed. Implement and evaluate
patient care plans and communicate patient condition changes to
relevant healthcare team members. Operate medical equipment and aid
in performing diagnostic tests and analyses. Educate patients and
families on post-hospital care and disease prevention techniques.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure patient
treatment is aligned with their recovery goals. Proficiency in
using patient monitoring systems and medical software. Strong
ability to communicate and educate effectively in high-pressure
situations. Critical thinking and quick decision-making skills.
Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance
401k Valid RN license in the state of Maryland, Virginia, or
Washington D.C. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS) certifications required.
