MedStar Health, a preeminent leader in patient-first health care in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, seeks an experienced Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team. This role focuses on providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients in medical-surgical units with a focus on cardiac telemetry monitoring. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing complex patient situations and delivering tailored treatment plans. Monitor patient vitals and telemetry units, identifying any irregularities or changes in patient conditions. Administer medications and treatments accurately and efficiently. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans. Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and post-discharge care. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and reports. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures, as well as state, federal, and JCAHO standards. Advanced knowledge of cardiac care and telemetry. Excellent patient assessment skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using medical software and patient management systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. BLS/ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
