Job Description:
MedStar Health, a leading non-profit healthcare provider in the
D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, is looking for a skilled Nuclear
Medicine CT Technologist to join our team. This position requires a
combination of specialized education and clinical experience in
both nuclear medicine and computed tomography (CT) technology. As
part of our dedicated healthcare team, you will be instrumental in
providing cutting-edge medical imaging services that aid in the
diagnosis and treatment of patients. The role demands a meticulous
attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively within
multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standard of patient
care. Perform nuclear medicine and CT procedures according to
established protocols and safety standards. Prepare and administer
radiopharmaceuticals, performing calculations to ensure proper
dosages. Monitor patients during procedures, observing for any
adverse reactions and ensuring patient comfort. Operate and
maintain imaging equipment, troubleshooting any technical issues as
they arise. Assist radiologists during complex radiological
examinations. Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to
confidentiality guidelines. Participate in continuing education and
training to stay current with the latest technologies and practices
in the field. Proficiency in nuclear medicine and CT imaging
techniques. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret
imaging results. Excellent patient care and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Technical
proficiency with imaging equipment and software. Medical Insurance

certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification
Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
(ARRT). State licensure as required.
