Job Description:
MedStar Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our
Neurology Telemetry Unit, serving patients in the DMV area with a
focus on innovative neurological care. As part of our team, you
will work in a dynamic environment where patient care is centered
around advanced technological support and compassionate treatment.
This role is integral in offering specialized nursing care to
patients with acute neurological illnesses and requires a high
level of expertise in telemetry and patient assessment. Monitor
neurological patients, recognizing changes in condition and
responding with appropriate interventions Administer medications
and treatments as prescribed and monitor responses Support patient
and family understanding of the condition and care requirements
Maintain accurate patient records and prepare reports on data
observed Coordinate with healthcare professionals to optimize
patient care plans Implement patient care in accordance with
healthcare regulations and standards Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills Proficient in the use of telemetry equipment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work
effectively in high-pressure environments Comprehensive knowledge
of neurological disorders and treatment techniques Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k
Current registered nurse licensure in the state of employment BLS
(Basic Life Support) Certification ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular
Life Support) Certification preferred Certification in Neurological
Care (CNRN) is a plus
