Job Description:
MedStar Health, a leading non-profit healthcare provider in the
DMV area, is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
to join our home care team in Prince George's County. This role
involves assisting physical therapists in the delivery of patient
care services for individuals rehabilitating from injuries or
chronic conditions. The ideal candidate will work directly in
patients' homes, helping them improve mobility and manage pain,
under the guidance of experienced physical therapists. Assist
physical therapists in accurately executing treatment plans for
patients. Educate patients and families about treatment protocols,
safety, and activities at home. Document patient progress and any
changes in treatment plans as directed by the overseeing physical
therapist. Give attention to timely patient billing and maintaining
detailed health records. Ensure the cleanliness and readiness of
mobile medical equipment. Strong communication skills Ability to
handle physical demands of patient assistance Understanding of
therapy equipment Patient and compassionate professional demeanor
Basic healthcare software proficiency Medical Insurance Dental

license as a Physical Therapist Assistant CPR certified Valid
driver’s license and reliable transportation
