Job Description:
MedStar Health, a leading non-profit healthcare provider in the
DMV area, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our
Orthopedics/Medical-Surgical team. This role is pivotal in ensuring
the highest quality of care for patients with musculoskeletal
issues and general medical needs. The successful candidate will be
integral in handling patient care, managing treatments, and
supporting recovery, all within our state-of-the-art facilities
that emphasize compassionate, patient-first care. If you are

health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care
plans, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to
ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. Advise patients
on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case
management. Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in
patients' conditions. Maintain accurate, detailed reports and
records. Direct or supervise less-skilled nursing or healthcare
personnel or supervise a particular unit. Strong skills in patient
assessment Proficiency in managing orthopedic appliances and
traction setups Ability to handle medical and surgical instruments
and equipment Effective communication and interpersonal skills with
patients, families, and other healthcare professionals Critical
thinking and problem-solving capabilities Capacity to work under
pressure in a dynamic environment Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid RN license in
the state of practice BLS/CPR certification Orthopedic Nursing
Certification (ONC) preferred
