Pre-procedure care includes IV initiation, assessment, and patient education. RNs rotate between pre-procedure and circulator assignments (not performed on the same day). Special Equipment : Endoscopy video towers, scopes (gastroscopes, colonoscopes, duodenoscopes, echoendoscopes), electrosurgical units, hemostasis devices (clips, injectors, APC), specimen retrieval devices, infusion pumps, vital sign monitors, crash cart with airway management supplies, and automated scope reprocessors.
