Ideal for experienced Telemetry RNs and Cardiac Stepdown nurses seeking travel nurse roles in Maryland./n /n/nJob Details/n /n - Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,920 – $2,020/n - Location: Glen Burnie, MD 21061 (Baltimore metro area)/n - Contract Length: 12 weeks/n - Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (20:00 – 08:30)/n - Hours per Week: 36/n - Unit: Med Surg 4 West — Cardiac Stepdown / Telemetry (27 beds)/n - Start Date: 05/04/2026/n - Employment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nurse/n - Scrub Color: Dark Blue/n /n/nJob Requirements (Cardiac Stepdown RN / Telemetry RN)/n /n - Minimum 2 years recent Cardiac Stepdown or Telemetry RN experience (MedSurg/Telemetry)/n - Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license/n - Current BLS and ACLS (AHA only). CPI and NIHSS required/n - Epic charting (Epic EMR) experience required/n - Comfortable floating to specialty sister units and lower-acuity MedSurg units as needed/n - Ability to work every other weekend and scheduled holidays/n - Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (travel nurse eligibility)/n - Two satisfactory professional references from most recent employers/n - Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)/n /n/nResponsibilities (Telemetry / Cardiac Stepdown Duties)/n /n - Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac and medical-surgical diagnoses (COPD, GI bleed, ESRD, cardiac dysrhythmias, electrolyte imbalances)/n - Continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias/n - Manage patients on cardiac drips, IV insulin protocols, and blood products/n - Care for ventilator-dependent patients, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, and patients receiving dialysis (peritoneal dialysis)/n - Perform and assist with specialty bedside procedures including thoracentesis and peritoneal dialysis/n - Manage central, PICC, and peripheral lines and wound care including wound vacs/n - Operate and utilize equipment such as EKG, Zoll, Viking lift, and sit-to-stand/n - Respond to rapid response and code team activations and collaborate in acute situations/n - Work closely with interdisciplinary teams: respiratory therapy, IV team, physical therapy, pharmacy, and radiology/n - Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic EMR and comply with facility policies/n - Float to sister units as required to meet patient care needs/n /n/n /n Why join this Maryland travel nurse role: competitive weekly pay, a supportive cardiac stepdown team, and an opportunity to expand Telemetry RN and MedSurg experience in the Baltimore area.
