Job Description Job Description Location: Baltimore, MD US Hours of Work: PRN coverage (available M - F, 7:30a - 4:30p) Job Facility: Endocrinology Office Employment Type: PRN Shift: DAY What You Will Do: Under general supervision, performs routine and advanced diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment according to established protocol to obtain locate, evaluate and record critical functional diagnostic information as ordered by a licensed physician or their designated health care provider. Duties And Responsibilities -Performs ultrasound techniques on thyroid and surrounding neck lymph nodes. Positions and transfers patients safely and comfortably and explains basic procedure. -Assist Physician with fine needle aspiration procedures. -Prepares and maintains reports and written documentation as required by the physician and per protocol. Education and General Qualifications: -Requires a two year allied health degree, successful completion of an approved one-year program in Ultrasound Technology. -ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) -Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize/navigate EMR (Athena) -Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. -Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians and the general public. -Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines in a fast paced workplace Company Description Bay West Endocrinology Associates PA is a proud member of Privia Medical Group.
