Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Rosedale, MD Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,464 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 5/4/2026 About the Position Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:30 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as an RRT in Adult Critical Care. License: MD State licensure required. Certifications: BLS, CRT, ACLS preferred. Must-Have: - 2 years of experience as an RRT in Adult Critical Care. - 1 prior travel assignment completed. - Experience with airway management devices and suctioning. - Ability to troubleshoot high pressure alarms and wean from mechanical ventilation. Description: The RRT will provide airway management and suctioning. Responsibilities include managing endotracheal tubes and performing extubation. The position involves nasal airway placement and suctioning. Oral airway placement and pulmonary hygiene are essential duties. The RRT will collect sputum specimens and provide tracheostomy care. Skills required include ABG interpretation and use of various medications. Familiarity with ventilators such as Draeger V500 and Servo U is necessary. The position may involve assisting in high-risk deliveries and interpreting umbilical blood gases. The RRT should be comfortable drawing and analyzing ABGs and using Cerner for charting. Experience in the Emergency Department is preferred. Candidates should be prepared for weekend and holiday coverage. Travelers may be expected to work in all adult areas as needed. Additional preferred skills include bronchoscopy and the use of inhaled Flolan. Knowledge of various respiratory medications and aerosol setups is beneficial. The facility is a short-term acute care teaching hospital with a focus on adult patients. All employees are required to have the flu vaccine.
