Evaluate employees' performance to ensure and maintain quality care.Keep abreast of and follow through on incidents occurring on all shifts.Review all discrepancies in sharps and tool counts, investigate, reconcile and forward written findings to the Health Services Administrator.Review all mediation errors and forward written findings to the Health Services Administrator.Prepare and submit monthly reports to the Health Services Administrator.Assist in responding to applicable grievances.Assess established policies and review policies as needed.Submit monthly report of audits.The duties and responsibilities outlined herein are for payroll purposes only; employees may be assigned other duties as required.--ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONSStandard medical setting in a correctional facility, which includes daily interfacing with inmates, correctional staff, and health care personnel.-- Temperature extremes may be encountered while moving throughout the facility outdoors and indoors in buildings without air conditioning.--TRAVEL:--Minimal travel throughout region is required.LICENSING:--Maryland Registered Nursing LicenseCERTIFICATION:--Current CPR CertificationEDUCATION:--Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN, preferred--PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:Minimum two (2) to three (3) years of experience in a supervisory nursing role, preferredMinimum of two (2) years of administrative and/or correctional nursing experienceManagement experience, a plusOTHER PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Strong interpersonal skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.General math and analytical skills, and planning, administrative and organizational skills essential.--Demonstrated experience meeting multiple deadlines.-- Must ensure documents are ready for review well in advance of any deadline.Ability to competently manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Ability to work in a stressful environment.Must be able assist staff with various policies, administrative and organizational projects.
