Description Job Description:The Government Health and Safety Group of Leidos is seeking a Functional Tester in Baltimore, MD to support an FDA contract.The Mission Accomplishment and Regulatory Compliance Services (MARCS) program supports the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA) critical work to safeguard the foods, drugs, devices, biologics, and veterinary products that the Agency regulates. The program is split into two investments (Systems for Inspections, Recalls, Compliance Enforcement (SIRCE) and Imports). Import Operations is one of the key functional areas within FDA. Headquarters and field staff utilize several systems to process entries of imported FDA-regulated commodities. Entry Review and the Operational and Administrative System for Import Support (OASIS) are the primary components used by field staff to perform entry review, record fieldwork results, and to make compliance and admissibility decisions. Predictive Risk-Based Evaluation and Dynamic Import Compliance Targeting (PREDICT) is utilized to perform risk-based screening of entries coming to FDA from Customs and Border Protection's (CBP) Automated Commercial System (ACS). Import Trade Auxiliary Communications System (ITACS) is utilized to allow the Import trade community to view and send updates for open entries stored in the OASIS database. Prior Notice Manager provides the staff of the Division of Food Defense Targeting (DFDT) with capabilities to review and process food imports subject to Prior Notice requirements.Key Responsibilities:--Estimating test case writing and execution effort and keeping track of own and team progress.Designing test strategies, test plans, and test cases from requirements, design documents and specifications.Estimating test case writing and execution effort and keeping track of own and team progress.Test case authoring and holding test case reviews with stakeholders.Execution of test cases including functional, regression, performance, load and smoke tests for both web applications and database.Reporting defects, tracking, validating and closing.Recording test results and reporting them.508 compliance test execution and documentation.Identifying regression test candidates for automation, planning automation activities across the team and automating test cases.Participation in daily scrum meetings, agile ceremonies and weekly test team meetings.Participate in all phases of risk management assessments and software development with emphasis on analysis of user requirements, test design and test tools selection.Install, maintain, or use software testing programs.Supporting our metrics program by keeping track and gather metrics on all activities.Support UAT activities.Support end of sprint demos, user acceptance testing, and solicit feedback from FDA on test artifacts and processes.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Strong front end interface testing with emphasis on user personas.Experience with SQL server and experience with writing and executing backend tests using SQLExperience with drafting test plans and test casesSome experience with web services and API testingWorking knowledge of the software development lifecycle and Agile-Scrum development methodologyExperience with gathering metrics and monitoring progressStrong verbal and written communication skillsUS Citizenship or US Person (Green Card Holder) is required and must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance to get a Health and Human Services / Health Resources and Services Administration badgeBachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5+ years of professional experience or 3+ years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.Preferred Qualifications--Understanding of FDA---s EPLC ProcessExperience with test automationExperience with HP Load Runner and/or jMeterExperience with section 508 testingExperience with HP ALM, Subversion, JIRAFamiliarity with Windows, LINUX, WebLogic, Oracle DB, PL/SQL, SoapUIProficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint).Requires US Citizen or US Person with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.External Referral Bonus:EligiblePotential for Telework:NoClearance Level Required:Public TrustTravel:NoScheduled Weekly Hours:40Shift:DayRequisition Category:ProfessionalJob Family:Testing and Quality AssuranceLeidos is a Fortune 500-- information technology, engineering, and science solutions and services leader working to solve the world's toughest challenges in the defense, intelligence, homeland security, civil, and health markets.
