Job Title: Security Developer/ Python Developer - Cyber Security Location :-- Baltimore, MD Job Description: Department ProfileOur CyberAnalytics team is charged with using data analytics to identify potentially threatening behavior within the high volumes of data that we collect from across the firm and develop security mitigations to nullify any threats identified. The global Fusion Center is a 24/7 operation with members in key geographic locations; this requires the role to cover shifts during weekday core hours, plus occasional evening and weekend on call for Cyber Event Management as required. Primary Responsibilities The CyberAnalytics team is seeking a engineering-minded technology developer to collaborate with other developers and end users in an agile environment to develop state-of-the art detection and automated response capabilities to counter cybersecurity threats, including: --- Develop integration and automation components used for the detection of cybersecurity threats --- Engage with end users and other developers to define requirements --- Collaborate with other developers on technical design of data analytics and dashboards --- Develop internal tools and applications used by Incident Responders as well as other developers Skills required (essential) --- 3+ years of software development experience with a demonstrable portfolio of achievement --- Experience using Python to build backend solutions --- Experience working with Linux --- Experience using REST APIs and JSON --- Experience using version control systems like Git --- Experience moving software into a production environment --- Positive attitude and enthusiasm to learn new technologies and expand professional skills --- Excellent written and verbal communication skills --- Ability to work in a globally distributed team --- Proven ability to collaborate with other developers and end users to craft end-to-end solutions Skills desired --- 2+ years with web development --- Experience with Django/Flask --- Experience with streaming data frameworks like Nifi and Kafka --- Experience with a continuous integration technology like Jenkins --- Experience with additional programming languages like JavaScript or Scala --- Experience with Splunk --- Experience with relational databases --- Passionate interest in cyber security Regards, Mohit-- mohitk@lancesoft.com
