Job Description:
Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested
applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be

who respond to this flyer. Responsibilities You will provide
specialized data management work involving the design, creation,
maintenance and administration of computerized databases. You will
analyze and plan for anticipated changes in data capacity
requirements. You will install, configure, and maintain database
management systems software. You will manage and facilitate
configuration change control, problem management, and communication
among data architects, developers, analysts and system
administrators. Requirements Conditions of Employment
Qualifications GS-11: Your resume must also demonstrate at least
one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09
grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent
experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience
must demonstrate the following: 1) Demonstrating the knowledge of
Designs and develops Information Technology (IT) database systems;
2) Assisting in conducting database performance tuning; 3)
Utilizing software and database design principles and methods to
create IT solutions based on functional requirements; and 4)
Assisting with implementing and maintain database security. NOTE:
This information must be supported in your resume to be considered
for the position. GS-09: Your resume must also demonstrate at least
one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07
grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent
experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience
must demonstrate the following: 1) Designing, creating, maintaining
and/or administering the integration of computerized databases; 2)
Performing quality control and auditing of databases to ensure
accurate and appropriate use of data; and 3) Installing,
configuring, and maintaining database management systems software.

year of information technology related experience in the federal
service or private or public sector demonstrating the following
four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough

IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include:
Performing database and application performance monitoring. 2.
Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any
individuals who use or receive the services or products that your
work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who
work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the
Government) to assess their needs, provide information or
assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations;
knows about available products and services; is committed to
providing quality products and services. IT-related experience
demonstrating this competency include: Creating and maintaining
user roles and assigning privileges in database applications. 3.
Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or
facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account
the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical,
sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral
presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and
responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this
competency include: Expressing information technology information
recommendations to employees and managers. 4. Problem Solving -
Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of
information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate
alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience
demonstrating this competency include: Assessing and correcting

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including
volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g.,
professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community,
student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies,
knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and
experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education
In lieu of specialized experience, the education listed below can
be utilized to meet minimum qualifications: GS-11: Successful
completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an
accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science,
engineering, information science, information systems management,
mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology
management. OR Successful completion of 3 full years (54 hours) of
progressively higher graduate level education leading to a Ph.D. or
equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited
institution in computer science, engineering, information science,
information systems management, mathematics, operations research,
statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that
provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the
fields identified above and required the development or adaptation
of applications, systems or networks. GS-09: Successful completion
of a master's degree from an accredited or pre-accredited
institution or equivalent graduate degree in computer science,
engineering, information science, information systems management,
mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology
management. OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate
education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate
degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer
science, engineering, information science, information systems
management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or
technology management; or, graduate education that provided a
minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields
identified above and required the development or adaptation of
applications, systems or networks. Additional Information COVID

if an emergent security situation arises. The employee may be

warrant. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or

management. Physical Demands: Work is generally sedentary. Vision
must be adequate to permit prolonged work with LCD monitors. Work
Environment: The work is performed in a typical office setting with
the incumbent observing normal safety precautions. Travel may be
required within or outside the local region. Several vacancies may
be filled. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the
