**Description**Leidos is seeking a Senior Backend Software Developer to contribute to SSA's Digital Modernization Strategy. Join our team responsible for building next-generation enterprise APIs and modern responsive user interfaces, supporting the Social Security Administration (SSA) and their mission to serve over 65 million Americans monthly. Your responsibilities include:
  • Analyzing and adjusting ETL jobs and data feeds
  • Maintaining and updating documentation
  • Monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving job failures
  • Developing code for new client-server jobs as part of modernization efforts
  • Participating in technical discussions and providing input
  • Guiding and supporting junior/mid-level developers
  • Contributing to strategic solutions, processes, and standards
  • Performing other duties as assignedFOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS (Basic Qualifications)
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field (additional experience may substitute)
    • 10+ years of experience with web development using modern JavaScript, CSS, SASS/LESS, ES6+, and Stencil.js
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearanceFACTORS TO HELP YOU SHINE (Required Skills)
      • Understanding of DB2 data models and JCL programs
      • Monitoring and troubleshooting production jobs
      • Coordination with teams to resolve job failures
      • Proficiency in Linux scripting for ETL

        • Experience with modern development tools, methodologies, and Agile projects
        • Experience in DevOps environments
        • Experience working in Linux environments
