Job Description:
Exelon Corporation, a premier U.S. energy provider headquartered
in Chicago, is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer 1 to bolster our
IT & Data Management department. The ideal candidate will support
our diverse energy portfolio comprising nuclear, fossil, wind,
hydroelectric, and solar facilities. By embracing innovation and
sustainability, this role contributes directly to optimizing our
technological infrastructure and operational efficiency, ensuring
reliable energy distribution to over 10 million customers across
six states. Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure systems
critical to energy management and distribution. Collaborate with IT
teams to develop solutions that enhance system reliability and
performance. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and
ensure secure and efficient operations. Support the integration of
renewable energy sources into existing grids. Assist in the
development and execution of disaster recovery plans. Participate
in ongoing training sessions and maintain up-to-date knowledge of
energy management technology trends. Proficient in systems
management and configuration tools (e.g., SCCM, Chef, Puppet).
Strong understanding of network architecture and data management
systems. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical
issues. Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards.
Experience with cloud technologies and services (Azure, AWS).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified
Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is preferred.
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent
certification.
