Strategic Communications Specialist, Mid The Opportunity: Design, develop, and produce a variety of internal and external communications materials and media. Apply specific functional knowledge and working and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance and review or guide activities of more junior employees. You Have: 2 years of experience providing communications support, including press releases, newsletters, fact sheets, talking points, so cia l media content, and presentations Experience using Micro sof t Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience translating technical information into simple language Knowledge of innovative strategies to inspire and progress key strategic communication goals Knowledge of AP style Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment Ability to obtain a Secret clearance Bachelor's degree in a Journalism, Communications, or English field Nice If You Have: Experience working with U.S. Department of Defense strategic communications or public affairs Experience in photography Knowledge of CMS interfaces such as WordPress Knowledge of SharePoint page editing and management Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills Possession of excellent analysis and data gathering skills Secret clearance Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information . Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,200.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
