Job Description Job Description We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to provide contract support for a busy legal office in Baltimore, Maryland. This contract position is ideal for professionals with a solid background in litigation and administrative tasks, who can efficiently manage client intake, documentation, and case preparation. The role offers the possibility of permanent employment based on performance but is slated to last for a minimum of two weeks. Responsibilities: • Manage client intake processes, ensuring all necessary information and documentation are accurately collected. • Draft and organize engagement letters and other legal correspondence. • Support discovery efforts, including gathering and reviewing evidence. • Assist with trial preparation by coordinating schedules, preparing exhibits, and maintaining case files. • Utilize case management software to track and update case progress and deadlines. • Provide administrative support, including scheduling, filing, and communication with clients. • Collaborate with attorneys to ensure timely completion of litigation tasks. • Maintain thorough and organized documentation for all cases in progress. • Handle general litigation duties as needed to support the legal team. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a paralegal or legal assistant role. • Proficiency in discovery and civil litigation processes. • Strong skills in trial preparation and case management. • Familiarity with case management and legal software. • Excellent organizational and administrative abilities. • Ability to handle client intake and communicate effectively with clients. • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in documentation. • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
