Sterile Processing Tech Location: Baltimore, MD Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,162 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 12 Weeks Start Date: 4/27/2026 About the Position Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 8 hours (03:00 - 23:30) Experience: 2 years of experience required; Trauma Level I and II experience required License: Active license required Certifications: CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA Must-Have: Candidates must have 2 years of experience; must not be first-time travelers; guaranteed hours required; floating may be required within specialty and other units Description: The role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing. Candidates must have experience in Trauma Level I and II environments. First-time travelers will not be accepted. Candidates will work on a night shift from 03:00 to 23:30, with five 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday. Knowledge of steam sterilizers, washer disinfectors, and low-temp sterilization methods is essential. Experience with scope processing, aseptic techniques, and proper sterilization wrapping procedures is required. Travelers must be prepared to work during holidays as scheduled. Weekends may also be required based on the schedule. The position may require floating to other units and facilities. Candidates should be comfortable with various tasks, including instrument placement on trays and proper labeling. Travel experience is necessary, along with knowledge of various surgical specialties such as orthopedic, plastics, urology, and OB/GYN. Compliance documents must be submitted prior to starting. Candidates will be required to float within the facility. References from recent employers are necessary for application consideration. Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility where they are applying. Preferred previous charge experience is a plus. Candidates must maintain a current certification in BLS, ACLS, or PALS as required. CPI certification may also be required for compliance.
