**THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN ACTIVE TS/SCI WITH POLY CLEARANCE**Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) is seeking a -- Principal --Systems Engineer/Product Engineerto join our Prime contract team. --JOB DESCRIPTION:A Principal Systems Engineer on a Prime Contract to provide --support a suite of reporting and authoring tools. The Principal --Systems Engineer will demonstrate, verify, and evaluate new and existing capabilities and features to support the development team as well as the product owner.LOCATION: --Annapolis Junction, MDDUTIES TO INCLUDE:Provide systems engineering support and customer interfacing to a development team. --Support a suite of high visibility, heavily used reporting and authoring tools --and their underlying RESTful microservice infrastructure. Tasks include:

• Frequent communication and participation in technical exchange meetings with various stakeholders, related product teams, etc.
• Meet with users and other stakeholders to develop technical requirements.
• Demonstrate the products to various audiences, gather feedback, and distill into requirements
• Assist the product owner with developing and updating product roadmaps
• Verify new features are working as specified, verify bug fixes, perform overall system testing, and ------sign off------ on issues before releases
• Configuration management through regular release cycles, documenting changes being made to each environment for customer approval/acceptance
• Evaluate requests for new capabilities and features with the product owner
• Risk managementTYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Bachelor------s Degree in a related Technical Field may be substitute for four (4) years------ experience. Master------s Degree in a Technical Field will be considered equivalent to an additional two (2) years------ experience. BASIC (REQUIRED) QUALIFICATIONS: --
  • At least eighteen (18) years in performing and providing technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software systems to include requirements elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, conducting systems requirements reviews, developing concepts of operation and interface standards, developing system architectures, and performing technical/non-technical assessment and management as well as end-to-end flow analysis. --Bachelor------s Degree in a related Technical Field may be substitute for four (4) years------ experience. Master------s Degree in a Technical Field will be considered equivalent to an additional two (2) years------ experience.
  • At least ten (10) years leading, providing technical supervision, and guiding senior-level engineering personnel; solving varied technical/scientific problems; and generating and reviewing designs for technical accuracy, completeness and appropriateness in light of objectives, budget, and schedule.
  • Experience in many various system design and development to include articulating the architectural vision; conceptualizing and experimenting with alternative architectural approaches; creating models and component and interface specifications documents and validating the architecture against requirements and assumptions.
  • Detailed experience developing documentation required to support a program------s technical issues and training situations.
  • Experience with Object Oriented and Structured development methodologies, networks, data storage, data modeling, data ontologies, security architectures and CASE tool selection and use.
  • In depth experience performing a variety of tasks related to knowledge/ technique dissemination to analytic workforce; demonstrated ability to convey new techniques and technologies to analytic workforce and facilitate transfer of acquired knowledge from experienced analysts to new analysts.
  • Working experience with system architectures in a web service-oriented environment and integrating information systems into SOA or ESB architectures.
  • Experience in analytical environments/intelligence production organizations.
  • Working knowledge of agile and/or spiral development models. Developing system performance, availability, scalability, manageability, and security requirements for mid-to-large-scale programs.
  • Experience working with and upgrading legacy systems to use RESTful web service principles.
  • Experience developing solutions integrating and extending integrating FOSS, COTS and GOTS products from multiple vendors.
  • Knowledge of implementing solutions with PKI-controlled access.
  • Working knowledge of developing and deploying integrated desktop applications.
  • Experience supporting mission critical distributed applications.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and facilitating the Scrum process to include management of the product backlogDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Proven technical troubleshooting and integration experience
    • Experience using distributed source code control such as Git
    • Basic familiarity with private cloud infrastructures, customer tools, Docker/Containerization, ELK, No-SQL databases, JavaScript Frameworks
    • Experience in reporting and authoring workflows
    • Experience conducting root cause analysis on production issues with other engineers and software developers
    • Experience with Agile development
    • Strong software process background
    • Good interpersonal, writing and communications skillsCLEARANCE:
