OneMain Financial is seeking highly creative and intellectually curious Cloud Security Engineer, who are passionate about cutting-edge distributed computing. Ability to integrate information security requirements into the development process; using applicable baseline security controls as one of the sources for security requirements; ensuring a robust software quality control process; and establishing multiple sources (e.g., delivery routes, for critical system elements). You will champion security in Infrastructure Automation, support Hybrid Cloud Solutions, and display practical past experience and hand-on of Cloud-as-a-Service varieties: PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS. Looking for an experienced cloud security engineer to help in the design, buildout, and operation of our cloud-based platform. This is a dynamic, fast paced role with the opportunity for a lot of hands-on experience with a variety of security technologies. At a minimum, we need somebody with experience in both the AWS ecosystem (EC2, VPC, EKS, ECS, etc.) and Palo Alto firewalls. The ideal candidate will have experience moving infrastructure to the Cloud! Responsibilities include: --- Creating cloud-based programs, performing threat simulations to detect possible risks, and providing security recommendations on topics like microservices design or application development. --- Experience migrating on-site solutions to cloud based offerings, such as Amazon's AWS and Azure --- Instruct other teams on proper coding methods. Investigate, create, and recommend innovative technologies or other methods that will enhance the security of cloud-based environments --- Excellent attention to detail, as they must constantly monitor systems to ensure there are no external threats --- Excellent oral and written communication skills will be essential when interacting with team members --- Initiative and serve as a project leader when needed. They should also have ingenuity and strong problem-solving skills in order to swiftly and creatively deal with threats or flaws in networks --- Stealthily plan and lead the deployment of security into cloud solutions in a production environment --- Strong technical skills, including experience with Linux and Windows operating systems, scripting languages like Python, and cloud provider ecosystems as referenced above Basic Qualifications: --- Bachelor's degree or Practical Military Experience --- At least 3 -year experience with Cloud based hosting solutions (AWS-EC2/S3, Azure, Google Cloud) --- 3+ years of experience building, operating, and securing AWS infrastructure -- EC2, ECS, S3, LBS, API Gateway, VPC, IAM, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, etc. --- 2+ years of deploying and managing Palo Alto firewalls, preferably in a cloud environment --- Manage AWS resource stack (EC2, ELB) via CloudFormation --- S3 bucket administration (ACLs, policies, LifeCycle, replication) --- Manage Security Groups for EC2 instances, knowledge of IGW, routes, and ACLs --- At least 2 - 3 years of experience in software development embracing Agile principles --- At least 1-2 years of experience working on UNIX/LINUX platforms --- At least 1-2 years of experience with UNIX scripting (ksh) or perl Bonus Qualifications: --- Jenkins/Docker/Kubernetes --- Splunk --- Aqua Security or Twistlock --- EDR --- MDM --- HashiCorp Terraform and Vault or similar --- Software development (python/C++) --- Vulnerability Management --- Incident Response --- SOC2 and ISO27001 --- Linux and MacOS security and administration --- Experience in financial services Note: Employment-based non-immigrant visa sponsorship and/or assistance is not offered for this specific job opportunity.
