Johns Hopkins Community Physicians is looking for a Behavioral Health Specialist at the East Baltimore Medical Center to provide patient centered mental health, substance abuse and general social work services to JHCP patients in designated primary care sites. This position will work with other primary care providers to promote qualitative and efficient use of health care services through changing patients behavior and modifying the care delivery system.Location: 1000 East Eager St., Baltimore, Maryland 21202Shift: Full-time, Exempt - 40 hours per weekRequirements:Masters Degree in a related Behavioral Health field required.Requires knowledge of mental illness, substance abuse and community resources. Candidate needs to be competent in multiple treatment modalities including: Motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral activation and must either have skills or willingness to learn office based substance use disorder interventions and Health Behavior interventions.Current licensure in State of Maryland in the field of Social Work (LCSW-C) or Professional Counseling (LCPC).Minimum three years post Masters degree, preferably working with identified population in community/primary care site.This position will require credentialing which could take up to 90 days.
