The MarCom specialist will be a motivated, energetic counselor,
working in this fast-paced environment with a collaborative team in
support of Corp. MarCom's business-driven thought leadership
The MarCom specialist will demonstrate a solid foundation in
public relations and marketing - namely, writing compelling content
for digital and traditional channels, virtual event execution,
media relations, and strategic use of analytics. S/he will gather
information from numerous sources and synthesize it to help inform
planning and shape MarCom activities.
- Provide support to the firm's thought leadership programs,
- Webinar series event set up, execution, and promotion via
social media and email marketing, as well as metrics collection and
- Blog scheduling, writing, and promotion via social media and

Media relations, including pitching, drafting of editorial
content and news releases, and promotion of key placements.
- Leverage excellent research and writing skills and knowledge of
AP Style to develop compelling MarCom materials related to the
thought leadership program and tactics as well as social media and
website content, editorial content for corporate publications,
video scripts, and more.
- Collect and synthesize metrics for thought leadership programs
originating from various platforms, including ON24, Microsoft
Dynamics, Cision, Burrelles, and Google Analytics, to inform
- Work collaboratively and productively to understand needs,
contribute to the development of strategic plans, manage day-to-day
activities, and ensure timely completion of all projects.
- Assist with the development of process improvements that enable
success for Gannett Fleming's thought leadership programs and

Education and Licensing requirements
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations,
journalism, marketing, business, or related field.
Training, Skills, Knowledge and/or experience
- 5-8 years of experience developing and implementing integrated
MarComprograms geared to a variety of audiences. Experience with
large, national brands is a plus.
- Experience with webinar platforms, media tracking and
reporting, and digital metrics.
- Excellent writing skills and a portfolio of written materials
that demonstrate the ability to write clearly and succinctly using
AP style and proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- A thorough understanding of digital communications and social
media and how to integrate communications across multiple
- A self-starter with high attention to detail and the ability to
prioritize, be assertive, take ownership, and meet deadlines. Able
to shift gears and acclimate quickly.
- Understanding of brand positioning and management, message
development, and how to shape corporate stories to fit current
- Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with

ability to tell complex stories in an easily digestible way is
