Ameresco is currently looking for an Electrician to join our
operations and maintenance team in Baltimore, MD.
Recognize safety hazards and follows safety guidelines for
personal protection, protection of fellow workers and the
protection of the public.
Read and interpret instruction manuals, blueprints and control
system drawings; applies knowledge to daily tasks
Complete written and electronic records (i.e. work orders,
calibration sheets, time cards, material requests) required to
document the work in progress and as it is completed.
Repair, test, troubleshoot, inspect; and install, remove, and
maintain solar site equipment such as solar panels, inverters,
transformers, breakers, switchgear, and SCADA equipment
Breakdown and repair of instrument and electrical equipment.
Use test equipment associated with I&E work such as multi
meters, loop simulators, multifunction calibrators etc.
Troubleshoot equipment by utilizing the appropriate software to
communicate with the plants PLC systems.
Assist in establishing and maintaining the preventive
maintenance programs for instrumentation, electrical, and
Assist in establishing and maintaining spare parts inventory for
instrumentation, electrical and mechanical equipment.
Work with vendors to solve equipment problems.
Troubleshoot instrumentation and process issues.
May supervise any contract maintenance of electrical,
instrumentation or mechanical equipment that is required.
Housekeeping in maintenance shop and in areas where maintenance
Perform other duties as required.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Two years of industrial electric/electronic maintenance
experience in the repair, inspection, testing, installation and/or
maintenance of related electrical/electronic equipment.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Additional specialized courses, certifications are a plus.
High Voltage experience is preferred.
Basic computer skills including e-mail and data entry using
Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs & transport equipment & tools in
excess of 300 lbs.
Ability to routinely climb ladders, walk up and down sloped
ramps and work on elevated platforms.
Will be required for 'on call' support or varied schedule
Valid Drivers' License issued by state of residence and in good
