Job Description:

About us

Jellyfish is a marketer's digital partner. As Jellies, we support and drive their digital transformation by providing the right technology, strategy and training.

With offices across the globe, we're focused on growing our network and offer best-in-class digital services to some of the biggest brands on the planet.

We strive to work together as "One Jellyfish," knowing how important it is to not just have the best people in the world working with us, but to also recognize and reward that talent. What's stopping you from joining our award-winning team?

About the Role

This role will join our Business Intelligence specialism, a growing area within our Analytics capability and our broader Data & Insights business unit that encompasses data planners, data analysts, data scientists, and measurement and optimization specialists. Collectively, we learn from each other as we strive towards our common goal of using data expertise to inspire clients, partners and Jellyfish itself to execute best-in-class marketing, fuelled by data-rich insights.

Within Business Intelligence, we're passionate about the value data architecture and visualization can bring to a business. This is an internal role with a focus on collaborating with internal stakeholders to establish the necessary reporting in multiple platforms to support smarter, faster internal business decisions. Whether automating CRM data, financial data or providing global dashboard views, our work helps to democratize data and promote innovative problem solving.

Your typical day-to-day will involve managing multiple Business Intelligence projects, with tasks including data ingestion, integration, automation and visualization. You'll be doing these tasks across a number of platforms, including Einstein Analytics (Salesforce + Tableau CRM), Google Data Studio, Cloud data storage systems (e.g. BigQuery), Google Sheets and data connectivity tools.

Additionally, you'll help identify new opportunities for our team and work alongside Senior Managers and Directors to develop process optimization and implement innovative ideas that will benefit the entire global team.

Last but not least, you'll also be coaching BI Executives to ensure they're learning and growing in their careers.

  • Work with business stakeholders to transform their reporting and visualization requirements into BI solution designs that consider the internal stakeholders' goals and cover needed data sources, data collection, schema and wireframes
  • Transform data from different sources with potentially varying file formats, column structures, and naming conventions into cohesive datasets and highlight where underlying changes to the data sources may be required
  • Build appealing visualizations within timelines that meet internal business use cases
  • Conduct testing and validation to ensure outputs match their underlying data sources and meet their design requirements
  • Provide support and resolution by analyzing issues, discovering root causes, and providing alternative long-term solutions
  • Train stakeholders on how to get the most out of the solutions that were built for them
  • Coach BI Executives to ensure they're learning and growing in their careers

What you'll need

  • Ability to understand internal business needs and translate them into technical requirements and solutions
  • Ability to design and build compelling data visualizations for different stakeholder levels across one or more technologies such as Einstein Analytics, Data Studio, Datorama, Tableau, Looker, etc.
  • Working knowledge of multiple data sources and how to develop methodologies for joining said data
  • Experience in data management, ingestion, and transforming, including ETL best practices and writing SQL queries
  • Ability to succinctly explain technical concepts
  • Strong familiarity with financial data analytics and an understanding of the levers a digital marketer can pull to influence marketing outcomes (including paid, owned, and earned channels)
  • A solid understanding of many realms of internal business data, including but not limited financial data, sales pipeline, revenue forecasting, and business commercials -and how they influence and interact with each other
  • Attention to detail combined with a careful approach to process
  • Zeal to learn, grow, and contribute to the BI team, Data & Insights group, and Jellyfish as a whole

What will be advantageous

  • Knowledge and experience finance/operations management and/or in Salesforce CRM platforms; ideally within Salesforce, FinancialForce or Einstein Analytics
  • Experience of working with data preparation tools such as Google Cloud Dataprep, Alteryx, Funnel, or similar
  • Practical experience with rolling out Datorama, Tableau, Looker, Power BI and/or other business intelligence platforms
  • Knowledge of Python/R
  • International background; used to work in teams that span across multiple markets
