Job Description:
A client of Insight Global is looking for a Secret Network
Engineer to sit in Aberdeen, MD in support of a large government
contract. This program specifically supports the DREN (Defense
Research Engineering Network) for new applications. Day to day
responsibilities include;
Installation, operation, and maintenance of lab
Performance of functional routing, gateway, and testing of
network
Assists with test execution, test plans, and report generation
Assists in maintaining and deploying switches, routers, firewalls,
etc
Troubleshoot customer support, internal, and external network
issues as needed
Modification of lab networking equipment to integrate with external
facilities and as required by customer
Cisco experience
Solarwinds monitoring experience
ISE maintenance experience
Experience with fiber channels
Network routing protocol and protocal analysis expusing multicast,
Sniffer, or similar
Interim Secret Clearance
Bachelors in Computer Science, Math, or other Engineering or
Technical AND 5 years of experience OR 8 years of exp and no
degree
IAT Level II Cert prior to starting (CCNA, CYSA+, GICSP, Sec+,
GSEC, CND, or SSCP)
Understanding of networking basics - Configurations, firewalls,
switches, etc
