We Are Hiring! Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland has an exciting opportunity for an experienced RN-Manager-Outpatient Cancer center, in Oncology department

 

Schedule: Full-time working 80 hours per pay period, Mon-Fri, 8:00am-5:00pm

 

What You Will Do:As the Nurse Manager, you will be charged with clinically leading our outpatient Cancer Center which includes a busy Oncology physician practice, high volume Infusion Center, ImmunoTherapy Clinic and the Radiation Oncology department. Our Cancer Center is fully accredited by several specialty specific organizations and enjoys a great community reputation. In addition to working collaboratively with nursing, you will build relationships and work closely with many other healthcare disciplines embedded in the Cancer Center such as Physicians, Social Work, Pharmacy, and numerous others.  You will utilize critical thinking skills, your RN clinical experience, business acumen and leadership skills to support our RN staff as well as other clinical roles. Your work will directly impact the ability of our patients to achieve an optimal level of health and to help build a health community.

 

Saint Agnes outpatient Cancer Center provides the most sophisticated level of cancer treatment. The facility is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) as well as the American College of Surgeons (ACoS). Multidisciplinary teams are available to establish individualized and coordinated care plans.  Several different disease specific tumor boards meet on a regular basis to ensure availability for thorough evaluation of complex diagnoses with a variety of medical specialists.

What You Will Do:

Manage activities, workflow and nursing resources of assigned nursing unit(s).

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and within unit.
  • Conduct hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff.
  • Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s).
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.
  • Monitor and adhere to budget. Approves or monitors expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing with experience required.

Work Experience:

  • 3 years of experience required.
  • 1 year of leadership or management experience required.
Additional Preferences:
  • BSN preferred
  • 3 years Oncology experience required
  • Out-Patient setting experience preferred
  • Oncology and Chemo certifications preferred
