We Are Hiring! Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland is seeking an Intervientional Technologist to join our healthcare team caring for patients within our Cardiac Cath Lab. In your role as a Interventional Technologist with our Cardiac Cath Lab, you will work with a group of exceptional nurses, physicians and support staff.  Exam rooms are fully equipped for the monitoring and treatment of acutely ill patients.

Schedule: Days 20 Hours

Assist with procedures and provide diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients.

• Prepare and position patient and select anatomic and technical parameter accurately.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity.
• Monitor protocols and recommend update or refinement as warranted.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Able to perform all specialized imaging procedures such as angio, complex,vascular and nonvascular, interventional and therapeutic procedures, along with assisting the Radiologist/PA.
• Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Certified Cardiographic Tech specializing in Invasive Vascular Cardiology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by Maryland Board of Physicians required.
• Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) preferred.

Education:

• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
