What You Will Do:

JOB SUMMARY: Performs diagnostic imaging procedures by computerized tomography methods in the Imaging Department following professional technical standards and hospital specific protocols to produce medically useful radiographic images. Interacts with patients ranging in age from neonate to geriatric. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Education & Training: Completion of an AMA-approved two-year course in Radiologic Technology. Must possess Maryland Board of Physicians Radiographer license. BLS required. Team members hired after March 1, 2018 must be board certified through either ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT). Work Orientation & Experience: Demonstrated experience as a staff Rad Tech preferred. Skills & Abilities: Visual and hearing abilities sufficient for observing and interpreting technical information provided by a variety of equipment displays, graphic and written sources; sufficient for receiving and understanding job related verbal technical and medical instructions in a busy radiology environment. Ability to steadily perform radiologic procedures in the presence of critically injured or critically ill patients, highly anxious family members, multiple physician requests, maintain patient confidentiality, ability to work cooperatively within a team, ability to adapt to change. Ability to communicate effectively. Critical thinking and problem solving skills. Strong customer service and patient care skills. Effective time management.
