Job Description:

*Title: *Deposit Operations Representative**
*Status: *Non-Exempt**
*Reports to: *Senior Vice President/Operations Officer**
*Supervises: *N/A
*Summary: *This position is responsible for all areas of the Deposit Operations Department. Duties may vary based on experience, tenure, and continuing changes to the Bank's services and related software/hardware.
*Basic Qualifications: *

* High school or equivalent; college business courses beneficial
* One or more years in a banking or customer service environment
* Ability to use a personal computer
* Keyboard skills
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
* Aptitude to work within multiple systems
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills

*Responsibilities: *

* Develop and maintain an understanding of the major payment methods and settlements processed by Deposit Operations: Check, ACH, Wire, Card, Cash
* Perform daily processing of wire transfers to include document preparation, call back procedures, OFAC screening, data input/verification, account posting, and customer notification
* Verify, correct, submit, and confirm all Harford Bank Currency Transaction Reports with FinCEN in concert with the Bank's BSA Officer
* Officer
* Verify and track new customers and accounts to ensure collection of all required information and documentation as part of the Bank's Customer Identification Program (CIP)
* Maintain image databases for storage of new account documentation, customer IDs, department reports, and all other general record retention
* Identify and action suspicious transactions, such as check forgeries/alterations and fraudulent EFT activity, by applying analytical skills, utilizing anti-fraud software, and dutifully following procedures
* Correct and process daily exception items, such as check and ACH unposted, rejected debit card transactions, unbalanced deposits, etc.
* Maintain online banking profiles: approve customer applications and account additions, respond to bill pay inquiries and secure messages, troubleshoot customer access issues
* Maintain debit card profiles: input new customers and card numbers, add/remove accounts, reorder/replace plastics and PINs, process Regulation E claims and merchant disputes, troubleshoot customer card issues
* Process and respond to: asset verifications, levies, garnishments, subpoenas, summons, and liens
* Process account maintenance: stop payments, returns, chargebacks/returned deposited items, adjustments, address changes, death notifications, estatements, ChexSystems reporting, etc.
* Cooperate with internal staff by timely responding to and resolving all inquiries to the department
* Reconcile various general ledger and transaction activity statements, such as Cash, EFT, Items Processing, ACH Clearing, Federal Reserve, Correspondent Banks, and other internal clearing accounts
* Perform various clerical duties including the preparation and filing of various reports, forms, statements, and correspondence
* Cross-train to serve in a backup capacity for other duties as assigned by the SVP Operations Officer
* Provide a superior customer experience by responding to all customer inquiries in a timely fashion, providing clear and concise information in a friendly and professional manner by all channels, including telephone, mail, and online messaging
* Maintain a general knowledge of all bank services and departments to properly direct customer inquiries to the area best suited to meet their needs

*Banking Policies: *

* Understand and comply with all Bank policies.
* Understand and comply with all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, SARs, and Harford Bank security procedures.
* Maintain security of customer information and adhere to the Privacy Policy
* Complete all required annual compliance training requirements.

_Responsible for understanding the Bank's BSA/AML Policy, including satisfactory completion of required annual BSA/AML training as applicable to position and appropriately applying this knowledge to daily activities and responsibilities, specifically understanding that any suspicious activity must be reported to the BSA Officer immediately._
