Sr. Instructional Technologist Johns Hopkins Health System
Baltimore, MD Full Time, Days This position is the lead responsible
for the technical development, management, and day-to-day support
of the enterprise learning management system. The Senior
Instructional Technologist reports to the Instructional Technology
Program Manager. The candidate is expected to provide exemplary
communication and collaboration amongst executive leadership,
health system staff, learning development teams, instructional
designers and system administrators. The Senior Instructional
Technologist must be able to address learning management system
technical issues, strategically implement system innovations, and
provide system administrator training. Responsibilities:
Collaborating with learning and development teams, IT teams, and
subject matter experts to ensure successful integration of learning
content into the learning management system. This will include
collaborating with instructional designers in the preparation of
learning resources for content delivery via our Learning Management
System (LMS) and/or ticketing system portal page. Working as
Company Administrator, utilizing our standard operating procedures
and providing support to update these procedures as necessary.
Serving as a thought leader for learning technology throughout the
enterprise. Implementing assigned content integration initiatives
to meet the expectations of all involved stakeholders while meeting
schedule timelines and budgetary targets. Serving as 2nd tier
technical support and utilize ticketing system for appropriate
resource routing as it relates to learner inquiries and the LMS.
Serving as a lead technical support and trainer to all LMS
administrators with emphasis on instructional design, LMS best
practices, and vendor-specific tools that will enhance content
delivery for each specific subject and course. Design, develop, and
maintain specialized LMS training support/ticketing support page
materials as needed. Review and maintain LMS training materials.
Providing consultation to System Administrators regarding efficient
use of learning technology e.g. LMS features, authoring tools,
multimedia tools (video, PDFs/photos). Researching and identifying
new trends in online learning design and practice. Making
recommendations to management to enhance and grow in learning
innovations. Managing relationship with external vendors and
service providers involved in the production and delivery of
learning content. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related
field. Five years of relevant work experience, at least a portion
of which involves instructional design, education, or training.
Project Management experience preferred. Adult learning theory,
instructional design models, rapid-course authoring tools (e.g.
Articulate Presenter, Adobe Captivate, etc.) course output
standards (SCORM, xAPI, AICC, etc.) Administration of learning
management systems. Instructional design, rapid e-learning
development tools (i.e. Articulate and/or Captivate) project
management and office software (i.e. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint,
Excel and Access), instructional learning technologies. To apply,
