history.Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Thermal
Mechanical Engineer to join its Thermal Analysis team within the
Hardware Organization. The Thermal Engineer will conduct thermal
analysis and design of avionics and space electronics with an
emphasis on design improvement. The engineer will be responsible
for the entire system, sub-system, including microelectronics
component level design and analysis.Responsibilities
Include:Conduct advanced thermal management using heat transfer
principles to meet the optimal thermal performancePerform thermal
analysis that require experience in heat transfer, including liquid
cooled, air-cooled, two-phase flow, cryogenic cooling and
refrigeration thermal control for different platform systems such
as airborne, space, ground base and navalProvide oral and written
presentations to internal and external customers as well as mentor
less experienced thermal engineers.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor of
Science in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering with 2+
years of related experience or 0 years with a Master's degree in
mechanical engineering or Aerospace EngineeringThermal engineering
experience, to include experience in heat transfer, liquid cooled,
air-cooled, and thermal control systems for different platform
systemsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsBe able to
be effective in a team environmentStrong hands-on work ethicAbility
to obtain a Secret Clearance, U.S. Citizenship is a
pre-requisitePreferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Mechanical
Engineering or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering with
concentration in Heat Transfer and Fluid DynamicsKnowledge of
thermal management techniques such as Finite Volume Analysis,
Finite Element Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics.Prior
avionics experience in thermal management design.Salary Range:
$73,600 USD - $110,400 USDEmployees may be eligible for a
discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are
designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow
employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President
or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In
addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including
