Performs diagnostic medical radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures through interpretation._x000D_Education Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology; Required Associate's degree Preferred Experience Prior work experience not required Required Licenses and CertificationsRRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist RRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification. Required andARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiology Technologist license in the State of Maryland. Required andCPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation CPR certification. Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesVerbal and written communication skills.Basic computer skills preferred.Acquires ordered images including evaluating these images for technical quality. Sends images to appropriate destinations for interpretation.Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas. Reports any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions.Maintains X-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order. Performs preventative maintenance on a regularly scheduled basis.Obtains patient history, answers patient questions, and explains procedures.Participates in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams.Performs other duties as assigned.Performs radiographic examinations.Prepares as required by the profession and the department, such written documentation as evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, and progress reports.Requests and orders supplies as necessary to keep materials on hand at all times.Transports patients to radiographic room and prepares and maintains room.
