Job Description LVR Collection Rep - Scope of Work Driving Requirements Safely operate a 26' box truck w/ Liftgate while adhering to all DOT regulations Pre and post trip checks must be thoroughly performed daily CHEP will provide the Rep a collection route to follow along with additional stops to work throughout trip(s) The Rep will need to document the time of arrival and departure from each stop This will be done manually using a form provided by CHEP at first with the possibility of electronic tracking in the future Pallet Collection Requirements Once the Rep has arrived at a store to collect pallets, they will need to inform the store personnel they are there on behalf of CHEP The Rep will count all pallets based on type/color and document the quantities collected on a form provided by CHEP An attempt should be made to have the store personnel confirm the quantities but is not required Pallets must be stacked/restacked in order to maximize quantity loaded onto the truck This will require manual handling/loading of pallets Pallets should be loaded and secured on truck using pallet jack and load straps (which will remain on the truck) Pallet Return Requirements Once all collections have been completed or there is no more room on the truck, the Rep will return to the CHEP Service Center to be unloaded. The Rep may be required to unload the truck manually Any paperwork documenting quantities collected, and specific locations should be provided to the receiving location. Customer Service Requirements The Rep must be able to professionally communicate with all customers, answer general questions re: the collection process and/or forward any questions they are unable to answer to the CHEP team Additional/Unplanned Collections In addition to scheduled collections, the Rep will be provided with a list of potential locations that may have pallets. The Rep will be expected to visit these locations throughout the day (based on their location relative to scheduled collections) and inquire if pallets are available. The Rep will also be expected to collect any CHEP pallets they see throughout the day (unless from a location on a "No Go" list provided by CHEP) For any location that has pallets but is not setup on a regular collection, the Rep will be expected to document the location information and discuss the collection program with the location staff. CHEP will provide a script and materials for the Rep to support this requirement Safety The Rep will be expected to work in a safe manner at all times and should not perform any tasks that they deem unsafe, even if that means a collection/delivery cannot be completed.
