Responsibilities
WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Plan and supervise roro vessel cargo operations
• Coordinate vessel calls with relevant third-party providers, government agencies
• Coordinate vessel and terminal operations with terminal management
• Lead, set guidelines and policy, manage, adjust vessel working schedules
• Ensure cargo handling is in accordance with customer guidelines and policies
• Identify issues and/or discrepancies; direct stevedores, or other stakeholders to resolve
• Communicate with vessels, vessel planners, and voyage operators to optimizes performance and meet service requirements Qualifications
  WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • Thorough understanding of
    • IMDG code
    • labor contracts
    • environmental and safety regulations
    • 2 years' relevant experience or combined experience and education
      • shipping, transportation, or logistics industry experience preferable
      • sailing experience as a licensed mate is preferable, with shoreside vessel operations and/or terminal experience
      • MSOffice
      • Ability to work collaboratively on a team
      • Excellent communication, problem solving, and analytical skills
      • Strong customer focus
      • Able to work in a dynamic environment
      • Ability to travel domestically EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVE
