Job Description:
Location: Columbia, MD - facility is in a vibrant and affluent
town between Washington DC and Baltimore. Best of both worlds
entertainment options while living in the safe, quiet neighborhoods
of Howard County. Facility: Hospital is a private, not-for-profit,
community health care provider. Opened in 1973, the original
59-bed, short-stay hospital has grown into a comprehensive acute
care medical center with 225 licensed beds, specializing in women s
and children s services, surgery, cardiology, oncology,
orthopedics, gerontology, psychiatry, emergency services and
community health education. Opportunity: Adult Psychiatry opening
for on a voluntary inpatient unit. Seeking 2 Psychiatrists to staff
new unit this year. Monday - Friday schedule with a clinical
workload that is less heavy than other area facilities. Consult,
PHP and IOP work is also available. Patients average 3-5 days per
stay and are referred from affiliated clinics. Teaching is
available and they welcome physicians with research interests.
Compensation: Salary is competitive and based on certifications and
experience. Extra income from call and holiday coverage is
available. Excellent benefits are available, including 40 days of
combined PTO, malpractice, and H-1b visa support.
