MBS Solutions has the immediate need of a Certified Crane Operator, in the West York/ Manchester, PA area.
JOB TITLE - Certified Crane Operator
PAY RATE - $20-30+/hr
LOCATION:
York, Pennsylvania 17408
SHIFT:
6AM to 3PM some days may be until 4PM
Monday-Friday
OVERTIME: Yes, scheduled hours would be for first shift 8+ hours, with OT possibly being on a very regular basis.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Seeking an experienced Crane Operator/Rigger. The Crane operator must be someone who is self-motivated, and responsible for but not limited to the following, dedicated to following safety policies and keeping daily record of required documentation to operate our 50-ton truck crane.
3 MOST IMPORTANT THINGS:

• Must have Industrial-Mechanical Based and Crane Operating experience
• Industrial construction or relative type of Industrial working background: 5 years (Preferred)
• Seeking candidates that are okay with out-of-town travel, valid driver's license JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES:
  • Use of hand and power tools, devices, machinery, rigging, non-lifting and lifting equipment.
  • Read, interpret, and follow manuals, instructions, work orders.
  • Follow work orders and written instructions to correctly complete projects in a safe, proficient, and professional manner
  • Applicant must have a strong background in Industrial type work.
  • Applicant should be proficient in working in adverse conditions and climates.
  • Applicant must be proficient in rigging and with working with cranes.
  • Individual will work with client crew most of the time on Agricultural/Industrial jobsites flying a variety of goods into place along with flying crew in a man basket in hard-to-reach places.
  • Most work is performed in close proximity to other equipment and requires accurate and precise operation.
  • Individual will be solely responsible for the condition of the crane, the rigging on the crane, the cribbing on the crane, communicating any issues or inspection dates to his/her supervisor, etc.
  • Must be open to and willing to work outside of running the crane on occasion on jobsites as the crane is not always needed.
  • Applicant must have knowledge of job site safety and be mindful of procedures put into place by client while on site.
  • Should be familiar and have General of other various pieces of equipment.
  • Must not be afraid of working at heights when needed
  • Able to travel out of town
  • Must be willing to work out of town and sometimes/ often on a weekly basis; travel would be Monday-Friday (weekends home)
  • Company will pay per diem expenses (hotel, food) when working out of town.
  • No health concerns or restrictions that would inhibit work duties
  • Maintain neat, organized, and clean work areas to avoid safety concerns or project delays.
  • Other duties as assigned. Requirements- ( The following are required for any applicant to be considered ):
    • Current CCO from the NCCCO; PA state licensing is preferred
    • Current CDL class A or B with air brakes
    • Able to set up and tear down crane up to multiple times daily
    • 2 years of experience in mobile crane/truck crane
    • Clean driving record
    • Pass a pre-employment drug screening along with random drug screenings
    • Knowledge of crane and rigging safety practices
    • Knowledge of Crane inspection forms and lift plans
    • Be able to bend and lift items 75lbs. +/-
    • Work well with others
    • Maintain our crane and its inspection dates
    • Maintain the rigging on the cranes.
    • Applicant MUST be willing to travel and stay overnight in hotels, sometimes on a weekly basis.
    • Out-of-Town work comes with per diem.
    • Hotels and food are paid for when out of town working.
    • Flexible with schedule change
    • Must not be afraid of heights.
    • *MUST have valid DL and own reliable transportation*
    • Applicant MUST be willing to travel and stay overnight in hotels, sometimes on a weekly basis. PHYSICAL DEMANDS-
      • Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, twist, reach, squat, throughout the shift.
      • Must be able and willing to lift up to 50lbs as needed and or consistently throughout the day.
      • Will be working in various elements, environments, etc.
