Position Summary
Oversee, maintain, and create 3D models in a common library to be
used for all OTECH projects/programs. Work with engineering
department to meet modeling needs. Performs configuration and data
management of DOD as well as commercial systems; participates in
web-based data applications, document, and data management.
Duties & Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL
--- Understanding of life cycle management and end of life
requirements of library parts
--- Evaluate COTS library hardware inventory needs. As necessary
create, maintain, supersede & obsolete COTS parts and model.
--- Assignments will include technical evaluation and support of
OTECH's COTS library.
--- Able to handle shifting priorities, multiple projects, and
timeline pressure to meet schedule.
--- Knowledge of 3D modeling and design standards
--- Must be a self-starter and work independently and as a part of
a team.
--- Knowledge of AutoCAD helpful but not necessary
--- Working knowledge of ANSI Y14.1 drafting standards
--- Demonstrates understanding of CAD equipment (Solidworks,
AutoCAD and Altium)
--- Must be willing to learn Digital Engineering and understand
model-based definition (MBD) to support customer needs and their
requirements.
--- Requires appreciation of time and schedule management
--- Good writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
--- Experience working collaboratively with customers and
teammates.
--- Someone comfortable with communicating in a variety of
forums.
--- A motivated individual who's able to work closely with
different groups of people within diverse team to resolve
issues.
--- Experience working collaboratively with teammates.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
--- Solidworks Experience (Creo, AutoCAD or equivalent design
software)
--- Web-based data application and data management
--- Time and schedule management required.
--- Demonstrated knowledge through successful performance of the
next lower position.
--- Demonstrates knowledge and effective use of the principles,
practices, and procedures of a particular field of specialization
and understanding of related engineering fields.
--- Microsoft Office and SharePoint training
--- Understand and able implement ANSI/EIA 649
--- Candidate will have to perform in an ISO-9000 rated company in
a rapidly changing and demanding atmosphere.
--- Must be able to obtain security clearance.
DESIRED
--- 3-5 years of experience with SolidWorks advanced modeling
knowledge and configuration
--- CSWP Solidworks Certified
--- Knowledge of Solidworks PLM software
--- SharePoint experience
Additional Information
This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a
designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the
hiring manager based on business need.
