Job Description:
Description The Digital Modernization Sector of Leidos has an
opportunity for a Cross Domain System Architect located in our in
Fort Meade, MD offices. This is a dynamic role where you will be
responsible for leading all cross domain technology activities,
ensuring compliance, creating and enforcing best development and
operational practices, filter development, systems engineering
needs, integration, test, vulnerability analysis and deployment
activities for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) on the
Cross Domain Enterprise Solutions (CDES) team. The qualified
candidate will provide technical analysis for a wide variety of
engineering and integration activities, execute moderate complexity
studies to evaluate products for compliance with requirements and
applicable standards, define preliminary processes to solve complex
engineering issues, and work heavily in a team environment.Primary
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate all customer cross domain technology
projects in accordance with customer requirements, governing
compliance within project schedule, scope and mission need.
- Manage requirements managing of CDS's solutions and customer
sets
- Facilitate and ensure quality and process for full-life cycle
development and operations
- Work as primary customer interface for technology
implementation, solutioning and development.
- Support and deliver results in both a waterfall and agile
project management framework.
- Work with internal managers and customers to shape
requirements, develop to the highest level of standards and quality
from inception to deployment into operations.
- Conduct performance and technology analysis and maturity
assessments of emerging technologies to program roadmap
consideration and prioritization.
- Understand and provide insight on system and application
performance through the analysis of recorded system utilization and
network traffic during test events.
- Perform systems integration, test, and deployment of cross
domain solutions and related technologies on Red Hat Enterprise
Linux, and VMware ESX Platforms.
- Troubleshoot the operation of these components and resolve
existing or potential issues to ensure optimum operation of the
environment.
- Works to set program priority, customer initiatives, create
program roadmap, influence schedule and overall program
delivery.Basic Qualifications
- Minimum active Secret clearance with ability to obtain
TS/SCI
- Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification required;
Security+CE, CISSP, CEH, or higher are preferred
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 12+ years of
related experience in network integration and/or engineering,
equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
- Must have working knowledge of NDCSMO requirements, Raise The
Bar (RTB) compliance and implementation, CDS Approval bodies and
organizations, NSA requirements for CDS technologies.
- Must have experience working in both a development and
operational environment.
- Ability to manage cross domain design and implementation and
policy, system engineering
- Experience with full life cycle cross domain guard filter
development
- Experience integrating COTS/GOTS products
- Proficient understanding of code revision tools
- Familiar with Agile, CI/CD, Git, Gitlab, Microsoft coding
tools
- Familiarity with distributed systems and network
architecture
- Understanding of requirements management
- Understanding of software testing, and creation of test plans
and procedures.
- Working knowledge of Linux and Microsoft operating
systemsRequired Experience:
- 8+ years leading technology advancements across cross
functional team to include, engineering, operations and
authorization and accreditation for CDS's
- Experience with programing and/or scripting; Lua, Java and/or
Javascript are preferred.
- Works effectively both as a team member and independently.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate by phone,
email, and in person with customers and management.
- Experience with creating technical documentation.
- Proven technical troubleshooting and problem solving
skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include MS Project and VISO
products.
- Ability/desire to work in a highly dynamic and challenging
environment.Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree, desired
- languages such Python, Java, Shell scripting, etc.
- Knowledge of the standard libraries, STL containers, and
algorithms
- Advanced Linux experience including 8+ years maintaining,
troubleshooting and performing performance analysis and
tuning.
- Experience with Network Devices such as Load Balancers, Routers
and switches.
- Experience with MySQL Database and Microsoft Active Directory a
plus.
- Experience with developing policy in Broadcom Layer7 or other
API-based application gateways.
- Experience with cross-domain design, products and

posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $122,200.00 -
$220,900.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general
guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
