and Maritime Sensors (LMS) Business Unit has an immediate need for
a Staff SEIT Lead Engineer to lead and develop a portfolio of
next-generation maritime RF sensor systems and mission solutions.
This position is located in Baltimore, MD.What You'll Get To Do:The
Staff SEIT Lead Engineer plans and executes system engineering core
functions; collects, manages, and reports engineering metrics; and
is responsible for V&V of engineering across all program
elements (systems/hardware/software/support/integration and test).
The Staff SEIT Lead Engineer is responsible for ensuring teams have
qualified staff to develop and demonstrate technical performance
while satisfying allocated cost and schedule requirements.Roles &
Responsibilities:
- Ensures that the program adheres to sound engineering processes
in development, production, test, and sustainment products for our
customers.
- Maintains cognizance over technical activities within program
Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and ensures horizontal integration
of the best engineering practices across the company.
- Mentors Senior Integrated Product Team (IPT) leaders, fostering
their professional growth and development.
- Provides physics level and mission level subject matter
expertise.
- Guides system implementation approaches for operational
concepts.
- Authors technical documentation such as white papers and
systems engineering design documentation.
- Generates and reports system Technical Performance
Measures.
- Provides oversight of Hardware/software design.
- Supports verification and validation of test activities.
- Performs key systems engineering elements to meet program
requirements.
- Ensures close customer cooperation to meet expectations.
- Presents to customers and senior management with tailored
material based on the audience.As the SEIT Lead, you will be
expected to demonstrate the following behaviors:

Qualifications:
- BS degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
Physics or related STEM degree with a minimum of 12 years of
related experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be
considered in lieu of a degree.
- Theoretical knowledge of the System Engineering V-Model and
hands-on experience executing the systems engineering
workflow.
- Experience with the design or integration of RF systems or
subsystems.
- Demonstrated previous Systems Engineering leadership experience
on major Government Systems acquisition programs.
- Experience leading large teams.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%.
- Willingness and ability to work up to 100% onsite within a
closed area at the Baltimore/Linthicum campus.
- US Citizenship required and a minimum of an Active Secret
clearance required.Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior leadership experience in IPT or SEIT Lead roles.
- Full life cycle experience developing, integrating, and
deploying maritime RF systems.
- Ability to monitor hardware and software design teams
effectively.
- Knowledge of model-based systems engineering principles and
practice.
- Agile development experience a plus.
- Excellent decision-making and communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and
creativity.Salary Range: $163,200 - $244,800Northrop Grumman is
